Press Release
AgCert International Plc - AGCERT REGISTERS ELEVEN MORE CARBON EMISSION REDUCTION PROJECTS
Melbourne, Florida - April 4, 2008
AgCert, a leader in the production and sale of greenhouse gas (GHG) emission reductions, announced it registered eleven more projects under the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) of the Kyoto Protocol. This brings the company total to 86 registered CDM projects, reaffirming its position as an industry leader in Certified Emission Reduction (CER) project development and carbon offset production. CER projects are ‘registered’ only after thorough validation by approved third-party auditing agencies to confirm that the proposed project activity would result in real, measurable and long-term emission reductions.
“AgCert's 86 registered projects prove our ability to work consistently within the rigorous, high-quality CDM process” said Yuda Saydun, the Company’s Executive Vice President of Operations.
Last year the company launched its TurboGreen division to leverage AgCert’s considerable CDM experience to benefit industries such as cement, power generation, metals, oil and gas, mining, landfills, waste management, bio-mass, bio-fuels and renewable energy such as wind and hydroelectric. TurboGreen has proprietary business processes, best-in-class emission reduction solutions, and financing options focused on carbon reduction for industry.
